Dr. Bergwitz has been a member of Kliemt & Vollstädt's employment law
team since October 2008. Before this, he practised for several years
as an attorney in employment law firms in Munich. Before his admission
as an attorney, Dr. Bergwitz was an academic researcher at Passau
University in the departments of Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Wolfgang Hromadka
and Prof. Dr. Markus Stoffels. He wrote his doctoral dissertation
under Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Hromadka on the legal position of the works
council.
Dr. Bergwitz advises employers and executive staff on all questions
of individual and collective employment law. He represents his clients
both in court proceedings and out of court. His main practice areas
comprise consultancy on actions against unfair dismissal, advising
enterprises on the day-to-day employment law issues, drafting
contracts of employment and specific types of termination agreements,
and questions relating to the transfer of establishments. Dr. Bergwitz
is the author of a number of publications on employment law.
