Dr. Jeremy Bister has been part of Kliemt & Vollstädt's employment-law team since October 2007, originally as a research assistant and trainee, and since June 2011 as an attorney. Following his law studies at Cologne University, which he completed with the first state law examination, Dr. Bister gained his doctorate under Prof. Dr. Martin Henssler on the topic of "Multiple collective agreements - the abandonment of the principle of uniform collective agreements in one enterprise and the consequences". During his traineeship at Cologne Regional Court, he chose to spend one stage of his training at the New York office of Littler Mendelson, Kliemt & Vollstädt's partner employment-law practice.

Dr. Bister advises national and international enterprises on all questions of individual and collective employment law. He represents his clients both in court proceedings and out of court. His main practice areas comprise consultancy on litigation relating to termination, advising companies on day-to-day employment-law matters, drafting contracts of employment and specific types of termination agreements and advising on works constitution questions.
