Evelyn Gabrys – Düsseldorf

Evelyn Gabrys moved to Kliemt & Vollstädt's Düsseldorf office on 1 May 2008 from Gleiss Lutz, Stuttgart. Before her admission as an attorney, she spent several years as an academic research assistant to Prof. Dr. Bernd Waas in the university department of Civil Law, Employment Law and Comparative Law and at the Institute for German and European Employment and Social Services Law at the FernUniversität in Hagen. Evelyn Gabrys is writing her doctoral dissertation under Prof. Dr. Waas on the topic of filing periods under the Dismissals Protection Act in connection with notices of termination on the transfer of an establishment.

Evelyn Gabrys advises national and international enterprises and executive staff on all questions of individual and collective employment law. She represents clients throughout Germany at courts of all instances and before public authorities (for example before the Integration Offices). Her main practice areas include questions of challenging works council elections, contract drafting, termination of contracts (in particular in cases of special protection against dismissal), transfer of establishments, equal treatment and mobbing. She is particularly interested in the employment law of the German Evangelical Church and cross-border fact situations. She is s member of Kliemt & Vollstädt's international team and a member of the International Practice Group on Discrimination.
